FIRs lodge against property owners of Afghan nationals

First Information Reports (FIRs) have been lodged against property owners, who have rented their properties to the Afghan citizens.
Under the Act of 10 rrba or 3/10 under the tenancy Act, cases have been filed on behalf of the State, police said.
Official of the police station, Landi Kotal said that so far three FIRs have been filed against the local property owners and cases will be lodged against the rest of owners in near future.
Contrary to the national policy, being adopted pertaining Afghan nationals, the property owners in Landi Kotal reluctant to displace the Afghanis therefore the government decided to tackle them as per law, he remarked.
Those property owners who are willing to oust Afghan nationals of their property can lodge an application and the police will take action on it, he added.
He maintained that more than three locals have filed applications, asking the police to expel the Afghanis from their property.
He further said that recently 40 to 50 unlawful Afghanis have been deported from Landi Kotal while a number of Afghan families have willingly repatriated to the motherland.
Amjad Ali, the first property owner who appeared in the Civil Court, Land Kotal against the FIR said that it is not solution of the issue as after availing bail in the case, the matter is as it is.
If the government launches a crackdown against illegal Afghanis as it did in other parts of the country they would not show any deterrence and will cooperate with authorities concerned, Mr. Ali said.
The police warned the property possessors to dislocate unlawful Afghan citizens or be ready for legal action against them.
As per fresh data 3000 illegal Afghan nationals have been residing in tehsil Landi Kotal.
