Islamabad: The Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) has released the attendance report for the 23rd session of the National Assembly, which was held from January 12 to 22, 2026, over seven sittings. Out of 332 members, only 56 members (17%) attended all sittings, while 47 members (14%) did not attend any session of the assembly. The sixth sitting recorded the highest attendance, with 222 members present, representing 67% of the total membership. The third sitting had the lowest attendance, with just 135 members (41%) participating. Overall, 276 members of the National Assembly missed at least one sitting of the session. Among cabinet members, only one minister attended all sittings, while seven ministers were absent from all meetings. Prime Minister did not attend any of the sessions. The Leader of the Opposition, who was appointed on January 16, 2026, attended all four sittings following his appointment. ONLINE
