Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah held all former governments responsible for destroying the lives of the poverty-stricken masses by getting involved in their tussle for power struggle.
Chairing a meeting of the central executive committee of the party here on Saturday Shah said the real challenges the masses were facing were poverty and unemployment which were not a priority for political leaders.
The ATP chief vowed to continue the struggle for public authorities and power and a vigorous campaign in this regard throughout the country will be sustained.
He called upon all political forces and stakeholders to be united under a single platform and resolve all issues with unanimity. The party leader again urged the caretaker government to focus on the public’s problems rather than indulging in politics of vendetta and personal interests. Timely elections are vital for bringing political and economic stability, he stressed.
He cautioned about delaying the elections by using various tactics and means that could cause further political and economic instability in the country. Shah called for provision of social and economic justice to inflation-hit people. He reminded that political, social and economic justice and public authority is our manifesto and agenda.
