PESHAWAR : Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has condemned the VVIP protocol of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and brigade of police and other officers during their yesterday’s visit to picturesque valley Naran, district Manshera.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Faiq noted that the VVIP protocol is increasing with each passing day instead of bringing reduction in it, which is a negation of tall claims of the government’s austerity measures.
From federal capital Islamabad to Abbottabad, he added the police force and officers of all districts have presented themselves for service of the Prime Minister.
The ATP chairman condemned that the public tax money is being lavishly used on VVIP protocol and luxuries.
He added that the situation is similar to spending on protocol for Chief Ministers, ministers and special aides.
Mr Shah asked: “What kind of austerity and modesty this is”?
The party leader went on to say that all claims of Prime’s Minister (PM) regarding the austerity plan have been diminished. He noticed that people have been highly perturbed from this VVIP culture.
He criticized the incumbent government for deceiving people in the name of an austerity plan, adding that the people have judged their real character and identity.
