Faiq condoles death of Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi

PESHAWAR: Founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party Muhammad Faiq Shah “expressed profound shock and sorrow over the tragic death” of Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi. “I am deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic news of the martyrdom” of Raisi and FM Amir-Abdollahian, says Faiq while offering condolences to the government and the people of Iran through a statement issued here on Tuesday. The ATP chief “emphasised that the Islamic World has lost a remarkable leader who always supported [the] Muslim cause and deeply felt the sufferings of the Muslims globally, particularly the Palestinian and Kashmiri people”. “His contribution to strengthening Pak-Iran bilateral relationship will always be remembered. Shah said the Iranian president “always had a special place for Pakistan and its people”, “We share the grief of the Iranian nation,” he said, and added, “Pakistan and its people stand by their brethren in Iran in this hour of grief.” “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the martyrs and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We stand in solidarity with them in this time of National tragedy,” Shah said in the statement. “The great Iranian nation will overcome this tragedy with customary courage,” he added.
