PESHAWAR
Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party held present and former governments directly responsible for the unprecedented inflation and collapse of the national economy.
Chairing a meeting of the party’s central office bearers and various segments here on Tuesday, demanded review and policy shift amidst economic uncertainty.
He alleged rulers for mortgaging the national economy with IMF, stating that every child was highly indebted by following tough conditions of foreign lenders.
“Traders and manufacturers are already facing tough conditions and now growers are up in arms,” he said.
Shah said no concrete policy was crafted to bring economic sustainability and make Pakistan a self-reliant state.
He asked rulers to abrogate IMF slavery and focus on enhancing national productivity, trade and export.
He added incompetence, corruption and meritless policies are major hurdles in the national progress, which should be removed with collective and concerted efforts.
The ATP chief called for liberating country’ economy from clutches of foreign lenders and independent policies should be designed in greater interest of people and the country.
He made it clear that improvement cannot come until elimination of the current cruel system.
Oppression against the poor must be ended in the shape of price-hike and unemployment, he asserted.
Shah asked young and competent people to raise up against the oppressive system and to initiate joint efforts to combat poverty, unemployment, social and economic injustice.
The party leader observed that social and economic injustice has sharply risen up in the country.
He said all segments of the society adversely suffered by the current oppressive and cruel system.
Faiq asked people to become part of the ATP struggle, which has been carried out from the last seven years for public authority and justice and the current tyrant system.
The ATP chief stated that their fight was against this failing system, urging everyone to resolve to free the country from the grip of the political mafia.
“We are carrying out an organised political and awareness campaign across the country”.
