PESHAWAR: Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah rejected the decision of National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) to increase the power tariff by Rs5 per unit. While responding to various queries of the general public during an online open forum “ khuli kachehri” here on Sunday, Shah said it is completely unjust to further impose taxes on power bills on inflation-stricken people. He said inflation was on the rise while the recent Nepra decision had also frightened the public. The ATP chairman said the rulers were busy in power struggle by turning a deaf ear to the inflation-bitten public, adding that the political and economic crises would intensify if the public was not taken on board in matters of national interest.
