PESHAWAR
Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party asserted that it is imperative to sign on a national charter of development to bring economic and political stability, peace and development in the country.
Faiq urged all institutions, political parties and influential segments to become part of this national charter of development, in which public authority and justice should be prioritized.
He said his party is ready to provide every assistance for the charter, asking the government, opposition, all institutions and stakeholders to consider the ATP proposal seriously.
If we want to make Pakistan a progressive nation, we must sign a national charter of progress, according to a statement, quoting Mr Shah, as he is saying.
Shah emphasized sustainable policies should be crafted so that there will be no impact with change of government and transition of power in the country.
He continued to say that political turmoil has impacted adversely on the economy, justice and society.
The ATP chief warned political manipulation and ‘Lotacracy’ would again push the country toward instability.
He added that authorities needed to be delegated to people by making local bodies representatives’ authorities and elections.
Furthermore, he stressed the new government should empower local government representatives, otherwise, he said tug of war will again ignore the people.
Faiq continued to say that instability and injustice would further intensify.
He said people had given mandate to progress and reforms, so proactive initiatives would be made to bring improvement in their lives.
The party leader suggested the strength of ministers and special advisors/assistants should be kept to a minimum and avoid wastage of national wealth and resources by formation of a brigade of ministers at the central level.
Shah said the reforms process should jointly initiate to resolve public issues.
He said ATP is ready to support any initiative for national progress, peace and stability.
He, however, appealed to stakeholders that tug of war and politics based on personality and personal interests should be eliminated.
Shah said it is a dire need of hour to jointly craft a strategy to lead the country toward political and economic stability.
He noted inflation, anti-people initiatives and flawed policies had adversely affected all sectors and people of the country.
