Faiq underscores critical role of institutions to end political crisis

Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party asserted that those who once advocated for the integrity of the vote were now aiming to seize power by undermining the very essence of democracy.
Chairing a meeting regarding the development situation after election 2024 here on Tuesday, Shah said if the politicians would again use the same fascism tactics, it will intensify instability.
He added democracy won’t nurture as per people’s interest amid promotion of fascism.
Faiq demanded early disposal of complaints regarding delay in release of polls’ results, mismanagement in polling stations and other concerns.
The ATP chief said Foreign Office (FO) and relevant institutions should inform the world about ground realities with regard to the general elections.
He said global concerns on elections 2024 gave a great setback to investment and trade, which would be further deepened.
Shah said ATP wants rule of law, justice, national unity and economic stability agenda at national level.
He underscored the need for early framing a joint national agenda, which would be reflection of interior, foreign and economic policies and become the substance of forging unity among all federating units and pave the way to begin the journey of peace, progress and prosperity.
The party leader appealed to the election commission, institutions and political parties that they should jointly drive out the nation from the current political crisis.
He also urged the judiciary to play an effective role for provision of justice and rule of law.
Furthermore, he asserted the lawyers’ community should remove hurdles in rule of law and justice beyond their personal politics.
Faiq said his party has a clear national agenda and manifesto and it is ready to offer it to national institutions and political parties without any interest, with the mere purpose to end the tug of war for power, corruption and injustice.
