Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah has demanded to immediately adopt diplomacy for investment and pragmatic steps should be taken by imposing an economic emergency in the country.
He asked to mercy on the people and the country. Talking to fragile economic conditions, Faiq said foreign exchange reserves worth billions of dollars are dropping by each passing day.
The ATP chairman during a meeting with different delegations here at the party’s main office on Sunday said farmer, trader communities, investor, and labour are faced with enormous hardships.
He stressed that everyone should jointly devise a roadmap of development while keeping the present economic conditions. Political parties which are outside parliament and think tanks should also be consulted, he added.
About the growing sense of deprivations, Shah noted more than 2.5million people in Sindh were displaced and deprived from bread and butter. Same situation is for poor people in other provinces, he added.
He maintained: “Whether cabinet or assembly and roads, politicians have set up factories of allegations, immorality and hatred”, From morning to evening and from night to other day, substances of these factories have been put on sale, Mr Shah observed. No one is concerned with people and their miseries, he added.
Similarly, he said the fight of personal interests is being fought in all federating units, including Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Faiq noted the one point agenda is how to get government in parliament and how to save it.
This democracy agrees that the government has to be permanently occupied in some way, he added.
The party leader emphasized the institutions need to play their role in the prevailing circumstances.
He continued to say that the global scenario is rapidly changing and new targets are being set for trade and investment.
However, he said a political mela (festival) has been staged in the country and no one is hearing voice of poverty-stricken people.
