Attock: A local court of Fatehjang on Wednesday sentenced a man to life imprisonment after convicting him of shooting to death his father in Chasan wali Dehri in the limits of Fatehjang Police station around one year ago. Additional Sessions Judge Raja Mohammad Ajmal Khan founded guilty accused Hafeez Ur Rehman for shooting to death his father Aabid Saleem on December 26, 2021 to get revenge of divorcing his mother and later fled away. He was arrested by police and he confessed that he had murdered his father to settle the score of divorcing his mother over domestic dispute. The judge concluded that the prosecution had managed to prove the murder charges against the convict. The court had earlier examined in detail the statements of witnesses who had positively identified Hafeez as the killer. The accused was also awarded a fine of Rs 0.1 million, which he is supposed to pay to the legal heirs of the deceased as compensation. In case of non-payment, he would undergo an additional six-month imprisonment. Online
