The Constitution guarantees safety to every citizen of the country; however, this clause of the Constitution has not been implemented in Khyber and the residents have been left at the mercy of militants.
Main purpose of conducting Khyber Aman March (Peace March) on September 04, 2022 to sensitize concerned officials to establish durable peace across the district Khyber and on that day the mammoth of the tribal will prove that they are peace loving people and seek peace.
This was stated by the President of Sayasi Ittehad (Political Alliance) Bara, Shah Faisal Afridi while addressing to a press conference here in Landi Kotal press club on Wednesday.
Flanked by Shereen Afridi and Zahir Shah, vice- President and Finance Secretary of the Alliance he said that the residents of Bara had suffered a lot in militancy in the last two decades and after matchless sacrifices peace was restored and internal displaced persons of Bara repatriated to their villages but ironically target killings, attacks on police check posts started again that created fear and panic among the general masses.
“Militants groups recommence their activities in Tirah and dwellers of the area receive extortion calls from militants under the nose of the forces that is regretful,” he added and said until and unless restoration of sustainable peace in Bara and rest of the district they would not give up their agitation.
He maintained that all the organizations of the Khyber including Sayasi Ittehad,Landi Kotal have been taken on board who extended unconditional support and assured large numbers of participation in the Peace March.
He also appealed to the local traders of Bara, Jamrud and Landi Kotal Bazaars to express their solidarity with the Alliance in the sacred purpose and observe shutter down strike on the March day.
