ISLAMABAD
FBR has collected record tax in the month of December 2025. FBR authorities told finance minister Muhammad Aurangzeb during briefing FBR collected Rs 1427.10 billion tax in the month of December which is 99 percent of monthly target of Rs 1446 billion.
According to authorities this is highest collection of tax in the month of December as compared to any previous year. Inland Revenue service while demonstrating excellent performance collected Rs 1308 billion against the target of Rs 1310 billion which is 99.8 percent.
Tax recovery in December surged by 59 percent as compared to November.
Recovery in the month of November stood at Rs 898 billion which rose to Rs 1427.1 billion in the month of December.
