ISLAMABAD
Federal cabinet meeting under Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif to be held on Monday will now take place today (Tuesday) due to change in schedule.
As per sources internal situation of the country and external situation and matters of national security will come under discussion in the meeting.
Sources said meeting will take broad review of growing tension in the region and likely war like situation. Detailed briefing will be given particularly on the recent tension between Iran and Israel. Its possible impact on Pakistan and region will also be reviewed.
Important matters related to national security are part of agenda of this meeting.
As per sources consultation will be made on internal security situation of the country, border situation and recent action against Afghanistan.
Briefing will be given to cabinet on protest demonstrations against the US in the country.
Security aspects of protests, public reaction and future strategy will come under consideration in the meeting.
Sources said important policy decisions are likely in the meeting in view of evolving regional situation which are aimed at ensuring country’s stability and protection of national interests.
It is pertinent to mention here cabinet meeting was to be held on Monday but its schedule was changed due to certain reasons.
