PESHAWAR(PR):Pesco Board of Directors tremendous achievements during its tenure(From 2013 to 2016) due to which Pesco succeeded to complete large number of developmental works and provided many facilities to its consumers,Under the Chairmanship of Malik Muhammad Asad Khan number of new grid stations were constructed ,several grids were upgraded and a large number of new 11 KV feeders were energized throughout the Province. Due to these developmental activities electricity distribution system was improved which was highly appreciated by the public. Similarly Due to Chairman BoD Malik Muhammad Asad Khan personal’s interest expenditure of several projects has been curtailed and saved more than Rs. 63 Crores to Pesco.It includes that Chairman BoD decreased tender expenditure of PC Pole Jahangira and saved Rs.62 Crore.Similarly the expenditure of two under construction blocks in Wapda Colony Shami Road has been restricted to Rs. 6 crore& 50 lacs instead of Rs. 7 Crore and 50 lacs and saved Rs. 1 crore& 10 lacs toPesco.The building of Transformer Reclamation Workshop SaraiNorang which was completed but not handed over to Pesco due to some reasons, but due to Chairman BoD personal efforts Wapda, occupied the building and saved Rs. 36 lacs for Pesco. Chairman BoD gave top priority to quality and standard in the construction works resulting excellent workd.Similarly important steps have been taken to facilitate customers which was hailed by the general public.
Keeping in view of this tremendous performance of BoDPesco, Govt of Pakistan and Ministry Water & Power decided thatBoDPesco to continue functioning.Hence PescoBoD next meeting will be held on 23rd January at Wapda House Peshawar.
Pesco’s Management hailed the decision and vowed to continue the launching of new developmental projects and provision of facilities to the consumers under the Board directions.
