Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan on Wednesday strongly reacted to the recent press conference of Federal Ministers Attaullah Tarar and Talal Chaudhry, saying they should first review their own political standing before lecturing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on people-centric politics.
In a statement, Shafi Jan asserted that PTI was the only party in the country truly committed to public service and mass-based politics, while the current federal rulers came into power through what he described as “fake Form-47.”
He criticized the federal ministers’ statements on Tirah Valley, calling them contradictory and misleading.
“Repeated press conferences are nothing more than failed attempts to conceal facts,” he said, adding that the federal government has indulged in disgraceful politics over the depopulation of Tirah, which the public will not forget.
Shafi Jan accused Attaullah Tarar of spreading disinformation and said both ministers launched a propaganda campaign against Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
However, he added, the politically aware public has rejected these efforts.
Commenting on recent cases and non-bailable arrest warrants against the Chief Minister, Shafi Jan said the federal government was panicked by the announcement of the February 8 protest.
He stated that PTI, alongside its workers and the public, will ensure the protest’s success.
