Floods-hit families need instant relief says a local organization

Peoples for Humanity, a non-governmental Organization, has said that floods have caused widespread destruction in the country.
It said that millions of children, women and men have been affected by floods since mid-June.
It added that people have lost their homes, livestock, harvest-ready crops and major sources of livelihood.
The rains and flash floods have damaged some areas severely compare to others.In South Punjab province flood waters inundated several villages, especially in Taunsa and Leh areas, and killed around 225 people and damaging more than 26,000 houses.
People for Humanity in a statement added that there were many ways to help flood victims and we have compiled a list of the most important needs to help people affected by flood disasters in the province.
It said that the most important of these relief activities was the provision of food to the victims.
People for Humanity Pakistan’s flood relief teams were on the ground in all flood-affected areas across Pakistan and rescuing people, including cooked food, dry ration packs, tarpaulin sheets, medical aid and other non-food essentials.
The organization further said that countless families, women and children have nothing left but hope, adding that affected families were in desperate need of cooked food, dry ration packs, tents and medical aid.
“The organization is committed to helping a weak and afflicted Punjab in this difficult time,” it added
