Forty education institutions closed due to emergence of corona cases

The district administration on Friday closed forty education institutions including University of Engineering and Technology due to emergence of corona positive cases.
According to an official statement, deputy commissioner Habibullah Arif in the wake of recently reported Covid-19 positive cases and recommendations of district health officer (DHO) Dr. Kachkool Khan under section 8 and 21 of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Epidemic Control and Emergency relief ordinance 2020 closed UET, GGCMH school Canal road Mardan, GGHS Seri Bahlol Takhatbhai, GGPS Koragh , GHS Sokai, Peshawar Model School Mardan, Government College of Management Sciences Mardan, GGHSS Qasami Katlang, GGPS Karwan No-2, GHSS Alo Katlang, GMS Sharki Hoti, GGMS Nodah Toru, GGHSS Jalala Takhatbhai, GMS Jalala, GHS Garhi Daulatzai, GGHSS Shahbaz Garhi, GPS Khani Koti Bala Garhi and GGHS Garyala Bala Rustam.
It was added in the statement that more than forty education institutions were closed in the district so far. The DC has directed the District Health Officer (DHO) and TMA staff to make arrangements of disinfectants spray from time to time during school closures.
The health department has been instructed to monitor the affected families. It may be noted that the number of corona virus-infected patients was increasing as people were not following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) against the fast-spreading disease.
The district administration has closed their eyes over the violation of SOPs in the district. The masses of Mardan demanded the district administration to implement the SOPs in letter and spirit to save the precious lives of people from Covid-19 pandemic.
