Friends of Paraplegics distributes Ramazan package to families of 40 disabled people

Friends of Paraplegics Peshawar (FoPP) distributed cash assistance to 40 disabled persons and their poor families in district Dir Lower as Ramadan relief package in the last decade of Ramadan, while two youths suffering from spinal cord injury were given wheel chairs as well.
In this regard, a simple but impressive ceremony was held at Helping Hand Rehab Center, Shamshi Khan, Talash Bazaar in which a large number of local elite participated.
Addressing the function, FoPP Chairman Dr Muhammad Ilyas Syed and newly elected Tehsil Chairman Timergara Mufti Irfan-ud-Din outlined the services, aims and objectives of FoPP and Helping Hand organisation for the rehabilitation of the disabled. They clarified that poor people especially the disabled are vulnerable segment of our society so it is the religious, national and moral duty of the whole society to reach out and give them support and a dignified place in the society. “We should also participate more and more in such welfare activities”, they added.
Mufti Irfan-ud-Din assured the Helping Hand and Friends of Paraplegics of full cooperation in these welfare activities on behalf of the Tehsil administration while Dr. Ilyas Syed highlighted the social problems and difficulties of the disabled and the role of his welfare organization in this regard.
He also elaborated on the various services rendered by the Friends of Paraplegics and Helping Hand Rehab Center for the service of suffering humanity, which was highly appreciated by the elders of the area and assured their full cooperation.
