The history of wars is very ancient. Humans have been fighting wars since ancient times, they are still fighting them today, and they will continue to do so in the future as well. In the past, wars were fought with hands, stones, or sticks, etc. Later, swords and arrows began to be used. After swords and arrows, the use of gunpowder started. Gradually progressing in this way, humans became capable of creating modern weapons, and today wars are being fought with these advanced weapons.
The atomic bomb is the greatest invention of the modern age and is extremely dangerous for humanity. The use of modern missiles and drone technology is increasing rapidly. Wars fought with hands and sticks were less dangerous. Wars fought with swords and arrows were more dangerous. Now the threat has multiplied several times, but the danger in the future will be far greater than it is today. Future wars will become much more dangerous.
In the future, wars will be fought on screens. With the help of a computer screen and keyboard, greater damage can be inflicted on the enemy in less time. Drone technology and automated systems will prove far more destructive for humans. Dependence on technology will increase in the coming times. Wars will be fought using modern methods instead of traditional ones. Artificial intelligence will also be used in wars, and its use will be extremely dangerous.
Even today, aerial bombing is dangerous, but in the future, even more dangerous missiles will be used. Wars will also be fought using robots instead of human soldiers. Robots will be much cheaper than human soldiers. Training a soldier to make him combat-ready is expensive, and heavy costs are incurred on training. After training, large sums are spent on the soldier’s housing, food, and salary. Despite all this, the soldier eventually retires or may be killed or disabled in war. This is necessarily an expensive deal. However, once a robot is manufactured and programmed, its advantages are far greater. There may be some maintenance costs to keep the robot operational, but it will still be much cheaper than a human soldier. If a robot is destroyed, it can simply be discarded.
In future wars, there will be less loss on one side, but on the other, there will be enormous destruction. A powerful state will be able to easily destroy a weaker country with minimal expenditure. Supersonic advanced missiles will also be able to cause massive destruction. Missiles may be developed that will be difficult to destroy and will inflict heavy damage in a short time.
At present, countries like the United States, China, Russia, and many others are investing heavily in advanced weapons and technology. In the future, any country that cannot protect itself from these modern attacks will be forced to remain subservient to powerful states.
Future wars will not be fought only with weapons. Other methods will also be used as weapons. For example, today almost all systems are being shifted to computers. Factories, banks, electricity, health, land records, communications, and nearly every sector have moved to computer-based systems, and this trend will become even more advanced in the future. By launching cyber attacks on computers, entire modern systems can be disabled. Even now, a single hacker can cause billions of dollars in damage to any state or institution. The threats will increase further in the future.
Information will also be gathered through space. Weaker states will fail to keep their information secure. Satellite-based surveillance systems will expand significantly. Countries can be destroyed through sanctions as well. By threatening war, any country can be forced to submit to the will of the powerful.
In addition, diseases will be used as weapons of war. Germs of diseases can be spread over any country to infect its citizens with dangerous illnesses. Diseases may be released for which no cure exists. A country can also be harmed by causing artificial heavy rainfall, leading to flooding. Attacks will also be made on crops. An example is Israel, which sprayed poisonous chemicals on Lebanon’s agricultural lands. In the future, even more dangerous sprays could be used to kill countless people with minimal effort.
According to emerging research, damage can also be caused by artificially raising temperatures in a country or drastically lowering them in another. It is true that extremely unbearable heat or cold can cause massive harm to humans and animals. Attacks can also be carried out through earthquakes. Artificial earthquakes can be generated to destroy large areas.
To protect against these increasing future threats, weaker countries should form alliances and adopt policies of mutual cooperation. If weaker countries remain opposed to each other, they will have no choice but to remain permanent slaves of the powerful. Asian countries have many differences, and these differences can cause enormous damage in the future. If they establish a united defense system, they will be able to protect themselves from major threats.
The greatest tragedy is that Islamic states are strongly opposed to one another. If Islamic countries achieve complete unity, great success awaits them in the future. Islamic states suffer from regional, linguistic, and sectarian differences. By setting aside these differences, they can move forward toward the future. If Islamic states unite, their alliance can become a guarantor of global peace.
The acquisition of modern knowledge and sciences must be made mandatory so that future threats can be avoided.
