PESHAWAR: Police on Monday claimed to have busted an organized gang of street criminals and arrested its three members in a police crackdown against anti-social elements in Cantt Division. According to a statement, police have recovered six mobile phones, including a valuable iPhone-Promax-15 and Rs 55,000 in cash from the possessions of the arrested persons. The arrested persons have been identified as Adil, Asim Asim, residents of tribal district Khyber. Police said that the arrested persons have confessed to their crimes during preliminary investigations. They were involved in armed robberies and snatching valuables in Hayatabad’s posh areas. SHO Police Station Tatara Qamar Shahzad told reporters that cases were registered based on reports by Umar Hayat and Muhammad Imran.
