Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman visited Pakistan’s 1st Spine Centre and Robotic Radio Surgery Unit (CyberKnife) for cancer patients at Ghurki Hospital Lahore.
Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman visited various departments, including Spine Center, Dialogue Sisters Center, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Emergency and ICU, and the patients.
Appreciating the services of the home hospital, Governor Punjab said that human service should be our top priority. The services of the home hospital are commendable for the poor.
On occasion, Prof. Amir Aziz, Chairman of Ghurki Hospital, briefed the guests, saying that Alhamdulillah Ghurki Hospital is a complete hospital with 650 beds working day and night to treat poor people.
He said that I thank all the members of the Board of Trustees and the gentlemen, with the help of the first Spine Center in Pakistan and the first cyber for cancer patients in Punjab are successful.
He said that the purpose of establishing a Ghurki hospital was to provide the poor people at a free and low cost with modern and quality facilities, which we have entirely welcomed.
He said that the other departments of the Ghurki Hospital, headed by praiseworthy professors, as well as all doctors, nursing staff and Para-medical staff, have played their role in the development of the institution day and night.
Professor Amir Aziz said that cyberknife is a very modern treatment for cancer patients, with a success rate of 99%. The treatment of a patient through a cyber-knife is about two and a half to three million rupees, but we are providing free treatment.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Amir Aziz appealed to Governor Punjab to provide accessible facilities to the poor.
