PESHAWAR: Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Gomal University, Dera Ismael Khan Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad has written a letter to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Peshawar Director Mujahid Akbar Khan for the registration of cases against former federal minister Ali Amin Gandpur under the Cyber Crimes Act, 2016. In the letter, the VC has said that Gandapur has interfered in his official duty by sending him threatening messages on WhatsApp, uploading insulting content against him on social media, indulging in his character assassination on mainstream media and inciting the university students against him; therefore he should be booked under the relevant Act. Earlier, Dr. Iftikhar wrote two applications to the DPO in which he had requested him for the registration of cases against Gandapur on the same charges. DNA
