Governor for promoting scenic places of KP to boost tourism

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali here Thursday highlighted the abundance of tourist attractions in KP and said that proper introduction of scenic places of the province to world can be used to boost tourism as an industry.
He was talking to 35 member delegation of Upper Dir that was led by former provincial minister, Shafiullah Khan. The delegation comprised elders including former MPA, Malik Behram, Arifullah, Ali Khan and Malik Badshah Din.
The delegation also informed governor about issues of Sultan Khel and Painda Khel tribe and expressed their concerns and reservations relating to forests, irrigation and mineral departments.
Delegation members also urged governor to convey their problems to concerned authorities keeping in view their sacrifices. They also expressed gratitude to governor and invited him to visit their areas.
Speaking on the occasion, KP Governor said that whole province including Upper Dir and Malakand Division is richly endowed with natural beauty and proper projection of these beautiful areas would not only boost tourist activities but would also help creating opportunities of growth for locals.
He urged locals to use modern technologies and digital media to aware world about their areas that are beautiful and still unexplored.
Governor assured cooperation to the delegation and said that authorities would be informed about their woes adding that he would soon visit Upper Dir to meet them.
He urged Sultan Khel and Painda Khel tribes to promote unity and mutual tolerance among their people and work to strengthen the country.
Later a delegation of Baluchistan traders called on KP Governor and informed him about their problems. The delegation was led by Mir Muhammad Zubair, Shah Zaman Bangalzai and Haji Asif Kakar. Governor listened to problems of traders and assured them his cooperation.
Meanwhile, Bishop Humphrey Sarfaraz Peters also called on KP governor and discussed with him improvement and construction work of Edwards College Peshawar.
Delegation of All Pakistan Local Government Workers Federation and Charsadda also called on KP Governor.
