ISLAMABAD: Government has decided to implement uniform tariff by abolishing 12 slabs of gas tariff. As per media reports, protected consumers will be shifted to income based subsidy and protected consumers will be taken into consideration through targeted subsidy. As per media report exchange of views between government and IMF on time line of implementation of single gas tariff and abolition of cross subsidy and giving it final shape is likely during 4th review of IMF in the period from September to October 2026.
