Govt decides to launch KPP from this month

ISLAMABAD : Finance Minister (FM) Shaukat Tareen has said government will extend interest free loan to the farmers and financial support for business.

Meeting of Kamyab Pakistan Program (KPP) was held under FM here Saturday. Meeting was attended SAPM Usman Dar and National Bank chief and senior officials.

It was decided in principle in the meeting to launch KPP during the current month. It was also decided that housing projects, skill development and easy loans will be brought under the banner of KPP. Decision was also taken to make health cards and agriculture services part of KPP.

It was told in the meeting government has allocated budget of billion of rupees. Interest free loan will be provided upto limit of Rs 5 lac.

FM said 4 million families from lower segments of society will be integrated in KPP. Interest free loan will be provided to the farming community and financial assistance will be provided for business. People from provinces will be included in Universal Health Insurance.

SAPM Usman Dar said KPP based on welfare agenda will be the largest program of the government. Government will provide technical education one member of every family. People from across the country will included in low cost housing scheme. The procedure for providing financial assistance to the lower segments of society under micro financing will also be worked out.

Usman Dar held PM Imran Khan has directed to initiate welfare oriented steps across the country. Consultations have been completed with FM in this regard and the program will be launched within a few days.
