ISLAMABAD
Federal government has accorded approval to scale up electricity base tariff by Rs 7.50 per unit. Federal government has raised base tariff from Rs 3 to Rs 7.50 per unit. Cabinet has given approval to summary on hiking the power tariff through circulation. According to sources the federal government has filed application for hike in base tariff in NEPRA. NEPRA will give its decision after hearing federal government application. Following NEPRA decision the government will issue notification on increase in power tariff.
It has been proposed that the base tariff be increased from July 01.
