Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, the chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, announced that the party will continue its struggle until the government implements an agreement regarding electricity bills. He emphasised that the government must reduce electricity charges without fail. During an online meeting chaired by Rehman, 54,000 members from across the country, including 47,000 men and 7,000 women, participated from various cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta. In his address, he stated that the aim of Jamaat-e-Islami’s “Haq Do Awam” movement is to secure rights for the people. He asserted that the struggle will persist until the Rawalpindi agreement is implemented.
