PESHAWAR: Mayor Peshawar, Zubair Ali has said the city district government was according highest priorities to promotion of female education, and all the teachers showing good performance in students’ academic results would be encouraged. Addressing the annual day function of the city district government degree college for women Peshawar here, the mayor said education was the cornerstone of his policies with special focus on encouraging female teachers on showing excellent performance, provision of furniture to women colleges and transport facilities for female lecturers and girls’ students. He announced to shift the city district government degree college for women Peshawar to solar energy to facilitate girl students. The city district government degree college for women was working under the aegis of the capital metropolitan government and its conversion on solar energy would help provide an uninterrupted power supply to the students especially in summer. The mayor also announced a pick and drop facility for female lecturers, bus service for students, new furniture and promotion to faculty. APP
