Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan has said that the street movement in Hazara Division demonstrated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) remained the largest and most popular political party in the country.
A statement issued from the CM aide office stated that Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi led the movement effectively, with strong participation from the people of Hazara, who welcomed the PTI leadership.
According to Shafi Jan, the movement aimed at upholding the supremacy of the constitution, the rule of law, democracy, and the people’s right to govern.
Shafi Jan criticised the Punjab and federal governments, claiming that the “illegal and politically motivated” arrest of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan was a failed attempt to suppress public voice.
He said the party’s political struggle will continue to protect democracy and promote governance reforms, highlighting KP as an example of better governance, transparency, public welfare and law and order under PTI leadership.
