Health minister inaugurates new facilities at Nowshera medical institutions

Provincial Minister for Health Khaliq ur Rehman Khattak on Wednesday formally inaugurated the General Medicine B Ward and CPC Hall at Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex (MTI), Nowshera, along with the Multipurpose Hall at Nowshera Medical College.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Member of the National Assembly Syed Shah Ahad Ali Shah and Members of the Provincial Assembly Mian Muhammad Umar Kakakhel, Ashfaq Khan, and Zar Alam Khan.
Dean and Chief Executive of Nowshera Medical College and Hospital, Professor Dr. Hamzullah Khan, and Medical Director Dr. Usman Haqqani welcomed the distinguished guests and provided a comprehensive briefing on the hospital’s departments and services.
They also highlighted the challenges currently faced by the hospital.
Addressing the gathering, the Provincial Health Minister assured the administration of his full support and reiterated that improving healthcare facilities across the province remains a top priority of the provincial government.
Later, the Health Minister, along with members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, inaugurated the newly established General Medicine Ward and the Multipurpose Hall and conducted a detailed inspection of the facilities. They reviewed medical services in various departments, with particular focus on the Trauma Emergency Department, visited patients, and obtained first-hand feedback regarding the quality of medical care being provided.
The Provincial Health Minister and accompanying legislators appreciated the efforts of the hospital and medical college administration and expressed confidence that these initiatives would significantly contribute to the provision of improved and quality healthcare services for the public.
