Heatwave alert issued in KP as temperature may reach 47°C

PESHAWAR: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Thursday issued a heatwave alert across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, warning that temperatures may rise up to 47°C in several districts of the province. According to the advisory, intense heat is expected in the plain areas of the province from May 8 to May 10. District administrations throughout the province have been directed to remain on high alert. The PDMA stated that temperatures in Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Bannu, Karak and Lakki Marwat may reach 47°C during daytime hours. APP
