More than one hundred and fifty suspected persons were apprehended in a search operation carried out by the security forces with assistance of police in Torkham and Bacha Mena village on Saturday,police said.
It is to be stated here that last day an explosive device was planted by an unknown miscreant near to the forces post, however it was defused by Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).
A police official said that on Saturday a sudden raid was conducted at warehouses and residing places in Torkham bazaar.
The forces accompanied by the police also searched houses of dwellers of Bacha Mena village and checked the identity of the residents.
According to the police more than a hundred and fifty persons including Afghan nationals, residing illegally in Torkham were apprehended and put behind the bars for further investigation.
Earlier, Torkham border in addition with all entry and exit points were suspended due to forces operation restricting public movement during forces search operation.
The Afghanistan bound passengers were stopped at Michni checkpoint while residents in Bacha Mena were asked to remain in their houses during the search operation, locals said.
