Addressing Pakistan Energy Conference (PEC) he said those who criticize me say I change the prices of oil daily. I don’t change the prices. In international market prices are not changed on every Friday. Ali Pervaiz Malik said it makes no difference I am showered with how much love or hate. However only this makes difference what will be achieved in future due to today’s decisions. Reforms are being introduced in energy sector. We are pursuing policy of self-reliance in energy sector. He held conducive environment is being generated for investors in energy sector. Remarkable reduction has been brought in circular debt in energy sector. Harmony among all parts of energy sector is must.
He indicated work was done on long term and medium energy policy following the closure of Hormuz Strait. Prime Minister has formed a committee which reviews energy situation after every two months.
Petroleum minister said steps are being taken in the light of agreement with IMF. Relief was given in prices of diesel last day. We are bringing mid-stream relief in oil sector so that such problems could not arise in future.
