LANDIKOTAL: Police foiled a bid to smuggle drugs and seized 6 kilograms of high-value crystal meth (Ice) from a passenger van in Landikotal and arrested two persons on Tuesday, police said. Police said that under the leadership of District Police Officer(DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal, the Khyber District Police remain active in their anti-drug operations. They said acting on a tip-off provided by SHO Landikotal Adnan Afridi, ASI Bahar Gul set up a checkpoint on the Landikotal Bypass road.Police stopped a vehicle (registration number MNT-6827) and recovered a 6 kilograms of Ice drug from the possession of two persons identified as Hakim Khan son of Malik Jan, resident of Khogokhel and Jafar Ali son of Fazal Akbar, resident of Stationkhel in Landikotal. The arrested persons have confessed to their involvement in the drug trade during preliminary investigations and provided information about their network, with further arrests expected soon. A case has been registered and detailed investigations are underway.
