Investigation into Arshid Sharif murder case
ISLAMABAD
IG Islamabad and JIT chief will appear in Islamabad High Court (IHC) in person on July 25 being summoned by the court in the case pertaining to investigation into Arshid Sharif murder case.
They will present record in respect of cases registered in Pakistan.
The court has summoned Attorney General (AG) as well.
During the previous hearing Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamir Farooq had remarked 44 meetings took place and he had no concern with them. Tell me If some thing has been done or not.
Additional Attorney General (AAG) said the incident took place in Kenya. Nothing can be done unless cooperation is extended from Kenya. Some progress has been made. Record of all the cases registered in Pakistan has been obtained.
CJ IHC Aamir Farooq had heard the petition seeking formation of Judicial Commission (JC) to investigate Arshid Sharif murder case. Court had directed IG Islamabad and head of JIT to appear in person. The court summoned Attorney General (AG) also on July 25 for court’s assistance.
The police told the court red warrants of two accused Waqar and Khurram who are living in Kenya have been issued.
AAG Munawar Iqbal Dogal told the court JIT has completed the investigation to the extent of Pakistan. Consultation is underway on the matter of MLAs agreement. 44 meetings of JIT have been held.
The CJ IHC remarked incident took place in Kenya and nothing can be done unless cooperation is extended from there.
