IG Riffat Mukhtar makes his maiden visit to the IT wing

Islamabad: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) are leveraging modern information technology to enhance professional capabilities, improve transparency, and provide selfless service to commuters. Inspector General Riffat Mukhtar Raja emphasized these advancements during a visit to the IT Wing, where AIG (IT) Irum Abbasi highlighted the role of IT in ensuring equal enforcement of traffic laws, transparency in the challaning system, and transitioning to a paperless, cashless department. DIG Headquarters Mohammad Saleem and other officials attended the event. The NHMP employs an E-ticketing application to streamline fine issuance and payment processes, ensuring efficiency and fairness. Inspector General Raja praised the NHMP’s adaptation to modern demands, noting their adherence to principles of honesty, politeness, and public assistance, which have earned public trust and respect.
