Peshawar: The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani awarded Charsadda police officers on excellent performance of arresting the accused involved in firing incident in a wedding ceremony in which one person has been killed and two women and one man critically injured.
According to details the other day some accused in a wedding ceremony in village Katozai Shabqadar after exchange of hot words opened fire and killed one man on the spot and seriously injured two women and one man. The accused after the incident fled to the semi tribal area of Shaheed Banda and took refuge there. Consequently arresting of the accused become a big challenge for the police. SHO Shabqadar visited Shaheed Banda in plain clothes and identified the hideout of the accused with the help of a local. The other day early in the morning the police party in plain clothes headed by DSP Shabqadar Muhammad Fayaz Khan sat in a truck which was going to the area for fetching/bringing marble and raided the said hideout of the accused before Fajjar Azan and arrested all the four accused namely Saleem, Kamran, Wajid and Amir along with the weapon used in the incident i.e two Klashnikoves and one pistol.
Addressing the ceremony the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani highly appreciated the modus operandi and techniques of the raiding party of the police adopted for arresting the accused. The IGP said that the people had attached great expectations from the police and directed them to accept every incident as a challenge and perform their duty with full devotion and professional commitment and Al-mighty Allah will definitely succeed them in achieving their targets. The IGP awarded DSP Shabqadar Muhammad Fayaz Khan, Inspector Liaqat Khan. SHO Shabqadar Bismillah jan, SHO Batagram SI Iftikhar Khan and SHO Khwajawas SI Muzaffar Khan with cash prizes and commendation certificates.
DIG Mardan Muhammad Ijaz Khan and Principal Staff Officer to IGP Ashfaq Anwar were also present on this occasion.
