IHC directs barrister Ali Zafar to make consultation with PTI founder

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed barrister Ali Zafar to make consultation with PTI founder in Toshakhana case remarking if you oppose NAB proposal then we will decide on merit.
The court will decide on merit by keeping aside the mistakes that took place in trial court, IHC remarked.
NAB requested the court to nullify the conviction of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi besides remanding back the case.
Appeal pleas against conviction of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in Toshakhana-1 case ceme up for hearing in IHC bench comprising Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq and justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb Thursday.
Barrister Ali Zafar appeared in the court on behalf of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi while special prosecutor Amjid Pervaiz and Rafay Maqsood appeared in the court from NAB side.
Barrister Ali Zafar told the court he is filing exemption plea on behalf of Bushra Bibi.
The CJ IHC remarked you give it and don’t be worry in this regard. We will issue order.
NAB requested the court to nullify the sentence of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi besides remanding back the case.
Court remarked while directing barrister Ali Zafar for making consultation with PTI founder that if you oppose NAB proposal then we will decide the case on merit.
Barrister Ali Zafar said he wants to present his pleas in this regard.
Justice Mian gulhassan Aurangzeb said there are two ways. One is you should accept what Amjid Pervaiz is saying and second you can make this request case be started in trial court again from indictment. If you don’t accept both of them then we will go toward technical faults.
Barrister Ali Zafar said this decision of conviction cannot stay in his views.
The court adjourned the hearing of the appeal pleas of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi against their conviction in Toshakhana one case till November 21.
