IHC issues notice to respondents, seeks reply

Slow internet speed case
ISLAMABAD
Islamabad High Court (IHC) while adjourning the hearing of petition challenging the slow internet speed till Monday has issued notices to the respondents and sought reply from them. Chief Justice IHC Aamir Farooq remarked “ before we issue any order, tell us what is actually happening. Which ministry is related to it. We should come to know what is reason behind slow speed of internet. Should we ask from PTI or ministry of information technology about it. He gave these remarks during the hearing of the petition against installation of firewall and slow speed of internet Tuesday.
Imaan Mazari advocate appeared in the court on behalf of petitioner.
During the hearing of the case CJ IHC inquired internet speed has slowed now a days. Before it we issue any order tell us what is happening in fact. Which ministry is related to it. Let us come to know what is reason behind slow speed of internet. Should we ask about it from PTA or ministry of information technology.
Counsel Imaan Mazari advocate said PTA is silent over it.
The CJ IHC inquired whom we should summon between secretary or joint secretary. .
The counsel replied it is our request the high profile personnel of concerned ministries be summoned.
CJ IHC remarked we will call the person who has knowledge about the matter and could brief the court.
The court while issuing notice to the respondents adjourned the hearing till Monday.
