IHC summons SHO Golra police in torturing to death a young man by police case

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned SHO Police station Golra on the charges of torturing 22-year young man to death and later giving it color of police encounter.
The petition filed by brother of deceased Ansar Hayat in connection with fresh postmortem of deceased and constitution of new medical board came up for hearing before IHC Wednesday.
Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq took up for hearing petition filed by Manzar Hayat brother of deceased Ansar Hayat.
Khurshid Ahmad Baloch counsel for petitioner said Golra police tortured Ansar Hayat to death and gave it color of police encounter.
The lawyer said brother of the petitioner was doing job in Islamabad. Police killed him by hitting him with vehicle. There are 22 signs of violence on his body. The postmortem was also conducted under police custody. We don’t trust it.
Khurshid Ahmad Baloch said police officer himself made call and said your brother has been killed in police encounter. When brother of deceased reached PIMS he saw tortured body. Police got postmortem in connivance.
But petitioner has no trust on postmortem.
The petitioner requested the court to issue order for constitution of new medical board and fresh post mortem of the deceased.
The court should issue order for initiating proceedings against the police personnel involved in the matter.
The court while summoning SHO Police station Golra adjourned the hearing of the case till Thursday.
