PESHAWAR: The Information Officers Association has warmly welcomed the appointment of Saleem Khan as the new Director General (DG) of Information, lauding the provincial government’s decision. In a statement, the Association expressed confidence that Saleem Khan’s leadership will strengthen the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations, ensuring the timely and accurate dissemination of information to the public. They also praised his commitment to modernizing the Directorate’s operations to align with contemporary communication needs. The Association highlighted Saleem Khan’s understanding of the challenges faced by employees within the Directorate, expressing optimism that he will address long standing grievances, including the demand for an information allowance. Saleem Khan’s extensive professional experience, particularly in engaging with the journalist community, was also acknowledged as a significant advantage.
