ISLAMABAD: Interior ministry and Establishment division have shown willingness for promotion of FIA employees during hearing of contempt of court case in Islamabad High Court (IHC) on non implementation of court’s orders regarding promotions of FIA employees. Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of IHC took up for hearing contempt of court petition filed by FIA employees. As per media report Interior ministry and Establishment division authorities appeared in the court. The court inquired court had issued order. What implementation has been made in this regard. Establishment division representative told the court “ we have no objection over giving promotions to the employees. Intra court appeal is pending hearing. The court remarked the intra court appeal which is pending has nothing to do with our order. The court adjourned hearing of contempt of court plea . Court had issued orders for granting promotion to FIA employees from constable to Assistant sub inspector. Online
