PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has officially announced summer vacations for higher education institutions across the province. According to a notification issued by the Higher Education Department on Thursday, all colleges and universities in the province will remain closed for summer break starting from June 1 to August 15, 2025, in plain areas. For hilly or upper regions, higher education institutions will observe a shorter vacation period, from June 1 to July 31, 2025. This announcement comes shortly after the summer vacation schedule was released for schools in the province. As per the previous notification: Primary schools in plain districts will remain closed from June 1 to August 31. Middle and high schools in plain areas will be closed from June 15 to August 31. In hilly districts, all schools will observe summer vacations from June 1 to July 31. The plain districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa include Peshawar, Charsadda, Swabi, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan, and other surrounding regions. Staff Report
