LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notice to interior secretary and other respondents on contempt of court petition filed by former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and his family members besides adjourning the hearing of the case. The contempt of court plea came up for hearing before Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza of LHC Wednesday. Abuzar Suleman Khan Niazi advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioners and gave arguments. During the hearing of the case the state counsel told the court indictment is about to be framed in respect of the case in trial court. . The court orders were not complied with being the case of Pervaiz Elahi pending in the trial court. The petitioner said the interior secretary violated court’s order. The name of the petitioners was not removed from ECL despite court’s orders. Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza remarked the case pending hearing in trial court has no relevance with my court. Who has not complied with my first order will be held accountable. Online
