IOM officials holds meeting with MCCI

International Organization for Migration (IOM) officials held a meeting with Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Zahir Shah at Mardan Chamber Office.
Officials of the International Organization for Migration, explaining the aims and objectives said that the aim of the initiative is to facilitate the business community in obtaining IOM cash grants for SMEs. On this occasion, Mardan Chamber of Commerce President Zahir Shah appreciated the efforts of IOM and said that SMEs should take full advantage of the said grant. He said that Mardan Chamber of Commerce is taking measures to protect the interests of small and medium enterprises and the business community plays an important role in the development and stability of the country’s economy, so the federal and provincial governments should needs to take special steps to facilitate business and provide interest-free loans and grants to the business community for the development of their businesses. On this occasion, small and medium scale entrepreneurs visited Mardan Chamber where IOM officials invited them to get cash grants for starting small businesses and industries and expanding existing businesses.
Told about the procedure, on this occasion, IOM officials said that grants ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 50 lakh will be given. They added that grants will be available for companies and business communities affected by war or natural calamities in various trades, with the aim of these businesses are rehabilitated and provide employment.
