Iran has reportedly launched drone and missile strikes on energy facilities in Kuwait, including the headquarters of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, as tensions escalate in the ongoing US-Israel conflict with Tehran.
The strikes came after US President Donald Trump issued a warning demanding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, threatening severe consequences otherwise. Iran had earlier blocked the vital shipping route following initial US-Israeli attacks, triggering global energy concerns.
Meanwhile, the United States announced the successful rescue of a crew member from a downed F-15E Strike Eagle during a high-risk operation inside Iranian territory. Trump described the mission as one of the most daring rescue efforts in US military history, stating the injured pilot is now safe.
Reports also indicated intense clashes between US special forces and Iran’s Basij units in southwestern Iran, where the aircraft had been shot down. Iranian authorities had reportedly offered a reward for the pilot’s capture.
In a separate development, Iran condemned US-Israeli strikes near the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, where a projectile reportedly killed a security guard and damaged infrastructure. The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed no radiation increase but warned against targeting nuclear facilities.
The situation continues to escalate, with Iran rejecting US ultimatums and reportedly expanding its list of potential targets in Israel and the Gulf region.
