It will be contempt of court if name of Shoaib Shaheen is put in any travel restrictions list again: IHC

Islamabad High Court (IHC) while adjourning hearing of petition filed by PTI leader Shoaib Shaheen for removal of his name from passport control list has warned it will be contempt of court if his name is again placed in any travel restrictions list .
The petition came up for hearing before justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of IHC here Friday.
During the hearing of the case, representative of Passport office informed the court Shoaib Shaheen name was placed in list mistakenly which has been cleared now. Passport of Shoaib Shaheen has been activated now. We apologize over mistake.
PTI leader Shoaib Shaheen appeared in the court in person.
The petitioner took the plea earlier his name was put in PNIL. Under court’s order his name was removed from list by FIA. “My name was again put in passport control list as political victimization.
FIA representative told the court name of Shoaib Shaheen is not in any list on our part.
Passport office representative informed the court Shoaib Shaheen name was placed in list erroneously and it has been now cleared. His passport has been made active now. We apologize over this mistake. Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir remarked if name of Shoaib Shaheen is put again in any travel restrictions list then it will be contempt of court.
