Islamabad November 3 (Online): Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Sirajul Haq has deplored that the government could not bring the killers of Maulana Samiul Haq to justice even after two years.
Addressing a ceremony in memory of late leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami in Islamabad, he regretted that martyr of Maulana Sami was not the first unsolved crime mystery in the history of Pakistan as the people had seen many others top level murders, including the first prime minister with the killers yet to be known.
Sirajul Haq said the Indian involvement in terror activities could not be ruled out because New Delhi had always desired to destabilize the country since its independence in 1947. Now, he added, Modi regime bent up creating unrest and peace and order situation in Afghanistan. He said it was ultimate responsibility of the Afghan forces to understand the nefarious designs of the enemies of their country and engaged them in a dialogue process for the establishment of peace in the country. He said success of dialogues among the Afghan groups was a key to the peace in the region.
Senator Siraj expressed concern over the unilateral decision of Imran Khan’s government to give provincial status to Gilgit Baltistan. He said the decision should be made by the GB assembly as it was not the mandate of PTI government but the people of the area.
The present government, he said, already displayed weakness in response to the Indian government action to tighten grip on occupied Kashmir by unilaterally abrogating the special status of the held area on August, 2019.
He said Pakistan was gift of Allah Almighty to the Muslims of the region and only the religious forces could protect its ideological boundaries. He said the evil designs of the secular forces would never succeed and the country would soon transform into a real Islamic welfare state with the help of the people of Pakistan.
