ISLAMABAD
Joint session of both the houses of the parliament has been summoned today.
The session has been called at 11 a.m National Assembly (NA) secretariat has issued notification about joint session of the parliament.
NA and Senate secretariat have been directed to complete the arrangements.
On the other hand 51-point agenda of Senate session has been issued. Bills of 21 laws will be included therein.
10 laws will be presented during the session. Approval of 9 laws will be obtained. The members of parliament will withdraw two laws.
PEECA act amendment bill is included in the agenda which will be presented in the session.
PMDC amendment bill-2025 and Islamabad Metro Bus service bill -2025 are also part of Senate session agenda.
Security Exchange Commission amendment bill and Pakistan Broadcast amendment bill will also be presented in the session.
Electronic Nicotine Regulation amendment bill 2024 and legal practitioner and bar council amendment bill are also part of the agenda.
Approval for bill related to rights of arrested, under custody and under investigation prisoners is part of agenda.
The approval for amendment bill in sections 323, 330 and 331 in CRPC is also included in the agenda.
Mental Health amendment bill and Pakistan Nursing Council amendment bill -2025 is also part of Senate session agenda.
